When I think of a Vespa, my mind immediately flies to Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck in the film Roman Holiday, and my heart screams: "I also want to visit Val d'Orcia on a rented Vespa!"
Born from an idea by Enrico Piaggio, the Vespa has always been a symbol of Italy around the world. From the epic traverses of the 1950s and 1960s to demonstrate its reliability, to simple everyday use for work or leisure, this small means of transport is the trusted companion of a thousand adventures.
Countless models have been produced over the years, some of which are now real museum pieces, exactly like those in Pontedera, birthplace of the Vespa.
.
We can offer you this experience of reliving the set of emotions that this two-wheeled icon can provide.
Patented at the end of World War II, when the Pontedera factories had been transferred to Piedmont, the Vespa was designed by the aeronautical engineer Corradino D'Ascanio, who "detested motorcycles" but knew how to create an original model, inspired by the complexity of aeronautical starter engines, combined with the practicality of a motorcycle that did not need to be "climbed over" to sit on, but that could give the impression and the security of being comfortably seated on the sofa at home.
The models in our possession are totally restored Lambrettas or vintage Vespas, or the most modern and certainly more comfortable automatic versions, available in a vintage blue version, for those who want to live this carefree experience.
Abandoning everyday life and riding a Vespa or Lambretta will allow you to travel through our hills, enjoying the views, smells, and flavors of the Val d'Orcia in every season: the fresh air on your face and the intense green of the fields in winter, the scents and colors of the freshly blossomed spring, the beauty of the wheat and the scent of freshly cut grass, the charm of the autumn colors in the thousand red, green, brown, and yellow leaves... emotions that you could never experience inside a modern vehicle!
Our company offers single rentals or organized group tours, where, with or without our staff, you will have the opportunity to learn about stories of places and characters off the main tourist circuits. Do not miss the opportunity to rent a Vespa and whiz in the serenity of the Val d'Orcia, a UNESCO site, and in the villages that make it up, such as Montepulciano, Pienza, Bagno Vignoni, Montalcino, Chiusi, Cetona, Sarteano, Cortona, etc... the perfect setting for photos and lasting memories!
